The Cohort team cares about conscious living. As a result, they attempt to provide all their stakeholders with a complete and sustainable hospitality experience, and this starts by prioritizing their social responsibility.
Their philosophy is environmentally conscious with no compromise to quality, because there is always a solution to be eco-friendly. In addition, at community level, the team of Cohort has partnered with socially-conscious businesses and work with suppliers whose values align with their company values. Furthermore, they are in the process of starting a neighborhood recycling project, where they get surrounding businesses (cafés and restaurants) to recycle. On this direction, they have already managed to onboard a total of 10 businesses and will be rolling out with the program soon…
As far as the rooms are concerned, Cohort walks towards minimizing/eliminating single-use plastics. For that reason, they use eco-friendly carton water bottles in the rooms (by Minoa), biodegradable and recyclable coffee capsules (by Taf Coffee), 100% eco-friendly bamboo toilet paper (by Cheeky Panda), and plantable pencils in the rooms (by Sprout World).
Moreover, their amenities are in dispensers to reduce the number of small plastic bottled wasted by hotels per year (Olive Era) and every room is equipped with recycling bins. Last but not least, to save energy, the use LED Lighting and energy-efficient HVAC system as well as water efficient fixtures is essential in Cohort Koukaki.
