Morus, the new gem of Psirri, has just opened its doors!

Tucked into the artistic soul of Psirri, one of Athens’ most vibrant and authentic neighbourhoods, a neoclassical gem has finally revealed itself. After a long wait behind scaffolding on Sarri Street, one of the area’s most iconic thoroughfares, Morus Acropolis Boutique Hotel has emerged in June as a serene ten-room sanctuary that honours the city’s rich architectural legacy while embracing a minimalist aesthetic.
Housed in a carefully restored 19th-century building, Morus is a love letter to timeless Athenian elegance. The Ziller-inspired façade, handpicked artwork, and meticulously curated interiors reflect a design ethos that is both refined and deeply rooted in place.
The hotel is exclusively designed for adults, with all ten rooms thoughtfully crafted for two guests. We especially loved the rooms with balconies overlooking the vibrant life of Psirri, perfect for sipping Greek coffee as the neighbourhood wakes up. All rooms, though, share the same thoughtful design: spacious, stylish, and exceptionally comfortable.
Despite being only moments away from the Acropolis, Ancient Agora, and Monastiraki, Morus offers a calming contrast to the city’s dynamic pace. A welcoming breakfast area awaits guests each morning, offering a curated combination of small buffet delights and à la carte options, a slow, elegant start to the day.
More than just a place to sleep, Morus is an experience that captures the eclectic spirit of Psirri while offering peaceful elegance at its core.
