Radisson Red Mitropoleos Square
NEW OPENINGS IN ATHENS
In the very heart of Athens, right next to the Metropolitan Cathedral, Radisson RED Mitropoleos Square Athens is set to open in May 2026, marking the debut of the RED brand in Greece. The hotel will feature 109 rooms, three restaurants, a lobby bar, two rooftop terraces, and a gym. With bold colors and lighting, the property combines the daring RED aesthetic with the area’s rich history and contemporary urban life.
Just a few steps away, Radisson Theatrou Square Athens will also open its doors in May 2026. Offering 173 rooms, two restaurants, a lobby bar, a gym, and a spa, the hotel blends warm family hospitality with the timeless charm of Athens. Housed in the former site of the city’s first winter theater and the historic Diplareios School, the property preserves its original architecture and artistic character, with design elements in marble, wood, metal, and glass. Operated in partnership with Gnosis Investments, Radisson Theatrou will serve as an all-year-round city hotel ideal for families and travelers of all kinds, conveniently located just 45 minutes from Athens International Airport and the Port of Piraeus.
Both hotels will operate under cluster management, with shared administration and departments, highlighting the Group’s innovative approach to managing urban properties in Greece.
EXPANSION BEYOND ATHENS
On the mainland, the Radisson Blu Resort Mani, a new premium resort in Gytheio, strengthens Laconia’s position as an emerging luxury destination. Combining natural beauty with high-end design and relaxation, the resort will showcase Radisson’s commitment to developing quality resorts across the Greek mainland. Meanwhile, in the Cyclades, Radisson Hotel Group will soon open a resort in Paros, becoming the only major international hospitality brand (hard brand) with a presence on all the iconic Cycladic islands, Santorini, Mykonos, and Paros, as well as Skiathos. This extensive island network allows Radisson to fully support the growing demand for island hopping, offering experiences that merge Greek hospitality, premium design, refined gastronomy, and world-class wellness standards.
Additionally, a large-scale new hotel project is in the final signing stage in mainland Greece, in a prefecture neighboring Attica.
