This amazing mansion is located in the heart of Plaka, at 77 Adrianou Street –a road famous to all Athenians and beyond. Naturally, it is even named after its address! So, for as long as you stay here, the most representative district of Athens will be your neighborhood. A77 Suites was born with one idea: to highlight the traditional Athenian hospitality, as a local would offer it. For that purpose, it aims to make you feel like guests in a house, specifically: in their home. And it has certainly succeeded, as all visitors leave knowing its people by their first names!

LOCATION

The first thing that comes in mind when visiting Athens, is Plaka, perhaps the most picturesque locale of the capital. Besides that, it is certainly the most visited place, full of restaurants and bars, a very lively neighborhood that will win you over! A77 Suites is situated exactly there! Its whereabouts are emblematic, the street is historic, the view is unparalleled! On one of the most important streets of Plaka, the beloved and oldest district of the Acropolis, you will be amazed by the neoclassical edifice standing there since the 19th century. It is a mansion, a typical residence of a wealthy family of a past era, one of many in the area. In this urban sanctuary everything is nearby. The commercial Ermou street, Syntagma square, the Acropolis, Thissio neighbourhood, the entire historical center of the city and not only, are just one step away. Equally, the subway is a stone's throw away, since Monastiraki station is in 7’ walking distance, while Acropolis station no more than 9’!

DESIGN

In terms of design, the owners have tried to preserve Athens’ neoclassical architecture of the existing building. They have achieved it by keeping the frame and interiors as close as possible to the original structure. You will confirm this by looking at its staircase, its balconies and its blue shutters. Whereas classical Greek motifs on the cornices as well as the high-ceilinged rooms with gypsum ceilings, make a direct reference to the typical mansions of the wealthy Athenian families of that era. Today’s voyagers benefit from the elegance and luxury that the hotel exudes with the combination of materials such as marble, wood and brass, framed by a collection of modern artworks. The interiors are deluxe, yet minimalistic. Colours aim to offer a calming environment in order for houseguests to enjoy a relaxing vacation, in the center of the buzzing greek capital.

A77 Suites offers 12 state-of-the-art rooms, all luxurious suites with minimalist design. The white and neutral color palette of the interiors soothes the senses. Overall, the decor is designed to maximize the natural light from the bright Athenian sky. The exquisite materials, along with the modern art pieces, evoke a sense of timeless finesse. All suites are fully equipped with modern amenities and more! The Elegant Suites come with a balcony and an exceptional view over Plaka. However, one of them has additionally a special view. For those who appreciate elegance paired with exclusivity, the Courtyard Suite is the best choice. Its interiors are sensational and comfortable, and it also comes with a private furnished outdoor courtyard.

OUR FAVOURITE ROOM

Apparently, the best suite at A77 is the famous Iconic Suite, and the view, rewarding as it may be, is not the only reason! The neutral colors, as well as its sophisticated furniture, enhance a sense of calm and let the Acropolis view dominate the room. Thus, the suite and the ancient monument share the same sense of timelessness. The suite is decorated with modern artwork. You are going to particularly enjoy the private heated jacuzzi outdoors. It is no coincidence that the Iconic Suite is known as one of the “best luxury suites with Acropolis view” in Athens, hence its name. However, if it is booked, you will be pleasantly surprised by one of the 4 Elegant Suites, which competes equally in terms of the view. In addition, the Elegant Suite might be more convenient if you are more than two, as it can accommodate up to three people.

BREAKFAST

Breakfast is available and served in the convenience and privacy of the room between 08:00 and 11:00, for that homy sense of accommodation. In fact, there are 5 pre-set menus, of various types (among them: protein, vegan etc.) to choose from.

BOUTIQUE

A77 is a combination of a boutique and a guesthouse. On the ground floor, you will find an extraordinary boutique through which you can enter the suites. There, you will discover a specially curated collection of clothes, jewelry, and accessories from both Greek and international brands. In reality, all of them are unique, statement pieces. The brands are carefully selected based on the story that characterizes them. Here, you will also find The Little Grec, a corner where folk art and Greek tradition from the 16th to the 19th century are presented through modern creations. Traditional motifs and techniques are utilized in modern materials to create inspired pieces that highlight modern elegance. In this way, yesterday is united with today, the past with the present. For every guest who wishes to try on some of the boutique’s items, an in-room fashion service is available. Your exclusive personal shopper, an expert stylist, will assist you with recommendations for the ultimate experience.

GOOD TO KNOW

•A77 is a proud member of SMALL LUXURY HOTELS OF THE WORLD.

•Despite it being a neoclassical construction of the 19th century, it has an elevator. Only for the Iconic Suite, you will need to climb just 8 stairs.

•Welcoming includes homemade sour cherry syrup at the reception and greek spoon sweet (bergamot or fig), tea and instrumental Greek music -including Hatzidakis & Reboutsika-, from your room's radio!

•You will be able to pick up/drop off directly in front of the hotel, but concerning parking, you will need to use the nearby parking lot.

•Via the Whatsapp App you can contact the staff 24 hours a day.

•The hotel has 2 vintage bikes that can be made accessible to you complimentary, but you can also, for an extra cost, get a prepared picnic of your choice!

•For a romantic picnic, A77 Suites suggests the National Garden or Filopappou Hill, both spots to visit anyhow and at walking distance.

•Pets can only be allowed upon prior arrangement and only if they are small in size (8-10 kg).

•The entrance is through the boutique located on the ground floor. Until your check-in is complete, you can do your shopping there.

•Among the experiences to try is the dreamy turndown ritual, with a goodnight text card and either an infusion or a sprig of lavender or eucalyptus -offering a different touch each night for perfect sleep.

•To ensure the perfect sleep, a pillow menu is set: feather, memory foam and firm anatomic pillows.

•In-room dining service is also available, in collaboration with nearby restaurants, from which you can order to enjoy in the comfort of your room.

•Each room has its own SuitePad so you can electronically make the arrangements you want!
